Welcome to WovenGems
WovenGems is my homebased weaving studio where I weave prayer shawls, kipot, matching tallit bags, scarves, shawls and, occasionally, art pieces.
In 1979 I sat down at a loom for the first time and knew that I wanted to be a weaver. I love throwing the shuttle and seeing the patterns develop in the cloth. There is something magical in working with thread to create interrelationships of color and pattern.
I especially enjoy working with individuals to design a custom piece that is meaningful to them.
